Financial Contribution

The budget for all areas of our co-operative local and Global Ministries is presented  to the Mid-Year Assembly delegates for acceptance and in their acceptance of the budget, churches make a commitment to contribute to the financing of this work.  Churches may make their contributions through the Ministry Centre at Dayspring on a monthly, quarterly or  yearly basis.  Monthly contributions are encouraged, to assist with cash flow.

Much of the budget is financed by Investments and other areas of earnings.

The local Mission to Tasmania budget covers -

  • Provision of the General Superintendent,
  • Regional Youth Co-ordinators,
  • Youth Leader Training and Events
  • Ministry Specialists brought to the State for specific areas of Training or Ministry to the Churches and Leaders
  • Services offered by Dayspring Ministry Centre ,  and
  • General administration of the Union.

The budget for Tasmania's contribution to the work of Global interAction also forms part of the combined budget presentation to the Assembly.  Contibutions to this work cover -

  • General Donations to Global interAction
  • Personal Support to Missionaries
  • Monies raised through the May Appeal
  • Special Projects
  • Personal Support for the State Director

Giiving to any of these areas may also be sent through the Ministry Centre as are donations to Baptist World Aid, Crossover or N.I.T.A., and will be distributed  to the appropriate organisations at the end of each month.

Contributions to any area of ministry or payments of accounts may be sent in one cheque with the breakup detailed on a Remittance Advice which may be downloaded here.
