Model Constitution
A 'Model Constitution' is available for Local Baptist Churches in Tasmania. This was prepared by the Baptist Union of Tasmania, not to be imposed upon each independent church in the Union, but as a basis for the effective working of the Churches.
It may be accepted by any Church as a whole or in part, or with amendments where such are considered necessary. Any Church has the right to formulate its own constitution quite independently. Churches amending this Model Constitution, or its By-Laws, are requested to lodge a copy of such amendments with the Union Secretary for record purposes, so that the improvements may be shared with the other Churches within the State.
