Annual Assembly
At the Annual Assembly held at Citywide Baptist Church at Mornington on 31st October, 2009 the recommendations of the review of future strategies for the leadership of Tasmanian Baptists undertaken by the Chairman, Mr. Ivan James, were accepted. The review was prompted by the announcement by the Superintendent, Rev. Garry Billing, of his pending retirement. The recommendations pave the way for the three Regional Ministers, Rev. John Smith (South), Rev. Jeff. McKinnon (North) and Rev. Ivan Jordan (North West), to assume many of the responsiblities of the Superintendent upon his retirement in February, 2010.
